Network Technician Skill and Training Requirements
The majority of employers looking for network technicians require their candidates to have formal training or education in computer science or a related field. This means that in order for you to have the best shot at getting the job, you should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or another related field.
You may also require specific training certification in a networking specialty. Many computer technology companies such as Cisco Systems and Hewlett-Packard offer examination and certification programs that will give you the title of Certified Network Expert (CNX).
