World Think Day
Girl Scouts of Central California South

Admission: $5.00 donation or a new or gently used book.

Over 4,000 Girl Scouts, from Girl Scouts of Central California South, will bring World Thinking Day to our community to celebrate diversity by representing over 100 countries. This year the girls will research a day in the life of a child and create an interactive exhibit that depicts their life, perform music, dance and tell stories. The Girl Scouts in cooperation with other community groups will create costumes, food and art that reflect these cultures. They have also joined the global community and are rallying to provide bed nets, a proven tool that has helped several African countries slash malaria infections and deaths by more than 50% in recent years. The Girl Scouts of Central California South have been collecting pennies for the luxury items in their lives and will turn in the collected pennies at World Thinking Day. When 1,000 pennies ($10.00) are earned, a mosquito net will be purchased. The net will then be sent to a child in a malaria-infested country and the Girl Scouts of Central California South Have helped bridge the Net Gap and have saved a life. The community is invited to attend and join in a celebration that reflects the many cultures in our valley.
